About the Role

Gartner is hiring a Senior Director Analyst specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM). In this role, you will apply your deep technical expertise to guide clients and develop research on IAM architecture and deployment best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct research and analysis in your area of expertise to support client initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality, actionable advice and defend strong positions through various media.
  • Write clear, actionable advisory research documents and reference architectures.
  • Stay ahead of developments and issues within IAM and related fields.
  • Respond to client questions and create/deliver presentations via teleconference, video, webinars, and events.
  • Maintain Gartner's industry leadership by responding to press inquiries.
  • Engage with clients daily via phone, video, or at events to solve complex problems.
  • Conduct occasional regional and global travel.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of relevant field or industry experience, with a minimum of 12 years in technical IAM roles.
  • The ability to demonstrate technical expert presence and immediately establish credibility with security and identity leaders.
  • Proven skill in producing high-quality deliverables and consistently meeting project milestones.
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal proficiency in English, public speaking ability, and effective 1:1 client engagement.
  • Adept at analyzing data, identifying trends, and applying frameworks to support research thought leadership.
  • Skilled at distilling complex concepts into concise advice and developing and defending research positions.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, multicultural global team.

This is an individual contributor role within a global team, not a management position with direct reports.
