Age of Learning, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure for our educational products, including ABCmouse.com, to support engaging learning experiences for children.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure for ABCmouse.com and other Age of Learning products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of production systems.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into the infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for production systems.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, etc.).
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration in Linux environments.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, ELK stack).
Nice to Have
- Experience in a high-traffic, consumer-facing web application environment.
- Knowledge of database administration and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Understanding of educational technology or edtech industry.
