Sprezzatura is seeking a Senior Developer to play a key role in supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs through critical software systems and solutions. You will be integral to maintaining legacy platforms, migrating to modern open systems, and driving automation initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a Senior Developer on a dedicated team.
- Maintain the legacy mainframe platform and support its migration to open systems.
- Test, monitor, and remediate FMS interfaces (inbound/outbound), including new integrations.
- Manage sustainment software changes and configuration updates.
- Inform and collaborate with programmatic reporting initiatives.
- Consolidate and enhance reporting tools to improve team efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with OMB circulars and FMFIA reporting standards.
- Support the development and automation of new reports and dashboards.
- Support database solutions for migrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Maintain nightly batch processes, optimizing performance and scheduling.
- Provide mainframe data support for open systems.
- Support the integration of additional data elements and reconciliation processes.
- Establish automation standards, governance guardrails, and best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy, access control, performance, and sustainability.
- Brief VA and company leadership on automation maturity, risks, and value realization.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Advanced experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions.
- 7+ years of experience operating within complex, cross-functional environments.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions independently.
- Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and briefing skills.
- Experience establishing automation standards and governance guardrails.
Nice to Have
- Federal or VA experience.
- Experience supporting federal clients, ideally within VA environments.
