At Canva, we're redefining how the world experiences design. We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to be embedded within our major product, business, and operational areas. Your work will make Canva more effective, efficient, and impactful by partnering with teams to influence strategy, design experiments, and build tools that scale insights.
What You'll Do
- Partner with teams across Canva to influence strategic decisions through data.
- Design and analyse A/B tests and other experiments that drive product and business outcomes.
- Build data models, dashboards, and tooling that help teams scale insights.
- Define and forecast key metrics to track progress and surface opportunities.
- Communicate findings clearly to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Uplift the broader data community through mentorship, best practices, and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record of using data to drive impact across products or business units.
- Ability to write complex SQL with ease and work with large-scale datasets.
- Experience with experimentation, event instrumentation, and data warehousing.
- Experience with tools like Python or R and a strong foundation in statistics or a STEM field.
- Familiarity with key tech metrics like product funnels and growth accounting.
- You value data accuracy, integrity, and using your craft to enable better decisions.

- You think strategically, love solving ambiguous problems, and use data to simplify complexity.
- You are an excellent communicator and storyteller — able to translate data into compelling narratives.
