Wealthsimple is hiring a Senior Data Scientist, Crypto Products to leverage data and analytics to shape the future of our crypto offerings. You will be a key contributor to a product team, using data to understand user behavior, inform product strategy, and drive measurable business impact.
What You'll Do
- Develop and apply statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and analytical frameworks to solve complex product and business problems.
- Design and analyze experiments to evaluate the impact of new crypto product features and initiatives.
- Translate raw data into actionable insights and clear recommendations for product managers, engineers, and business leaders.
- Build dashboards and automated reports to monitor key performance metrics and user engagement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, design, and marketing.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science or a related quantitative field.
- Proven expertise in SQL, Python (pandas, scikit-learn, or similar), and statistical modeling.
- Strong experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and other experimental frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- A track record of using data to influence product strategy and drive business decisions.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency industry.
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar.
