Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to take the lead in designing and developing a global data ecosystem that powers innovative solutions and data-driven decision-making. You will work on complex projects involving data integration, transformation, and exposure at scale, collaborating with talented teams worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain a global data ecosystem, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Create and implement data-driven solutions and services that enhance business intelligence and analytics capabilities.
- Work across various layers of the data stack, from ingestion pipelines to APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
- Partner with global and regional data architects to define best practices for integrations, pipelines, and APIs.
- Support the design and consumption of data services and microservices for digital product teams.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data design, integration, and engineering across application and analytics environments.
- Expertise in building and managing data solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataproc, and Google Cloud Storage.
- Proven experience creating data microservices and APIs in GCP using Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Apigee API, and Cloud Run.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Azure data platform tools (Databricks, ADF, Azure Functions, Microsoft API Management).
- Strong ability to research and evaluate emerging technologies in a rapidly evolving cloud and data landscape.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, collaborative mindset, and attention to detail.
