Responsibilities
- To build, scale and maintain cloud-based robust data solutions , which is so crucial for our long-term strategy and operational success.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify key data needs and translate them into effective and scalable solutions.
- Understand the data needs of the company and plan along with other data engineers & scientists how to translate these needs into solid data solutions.
- Write the required ETLs/ELTs from scratch to help build an effective Data Warehouse.
- Maintain pipelines with Dagster to ensure that daily/weekly executions run smoothly and without errors.
- Establish sanity checks to catch data anomalies in any pipeline and/or data warehouse as early as possible.
- Continuously improve our data processes and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud-based databases: Redshift and AWS RDS.
- Strong Python skills and any related packages for data analytics, transformations, APIs and AI/ML.
- Proven ability to build and maintain ETLs/ELTs, ideally using dbt or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks: Fivetran, Hightouch, DBT, Dagster and cloud services.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience with modern orchestration tools such as Dagster.
- A proactive and self-driven mindset, with a passion for solving complex problems through simple, scalable solutions.
- Ability to manage projects independently and take ownership from start to finish.
- Shows strong leadership potential and navigates challenging situations with a thoughtful approach.
- Strong communication skills when interacting with internal clients and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and adapting to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
