Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor for multiple subsidiaries. In this remote role, you will provide comprehensive guidance across commercial, operational, and strategic initiatives, partnering closely with executives and cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the main legal point of contact for multiple subsidiaries, managing a broad range of commercial, operational, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, negotiate, and review complex agreements, including partnerships, sales, SaaS, B2B integrations, vendor contracts, and IP development/licensing.
- Proactively identify potential legal risks and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in employment, privacy, regulatory, and other specialized areas as needed.
- Support M&A integration and ongoing subsidiary management initiatives.
- Lead efforts to improve contract management, workflows, processes, templates, and overall legal operational efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior legal team members, fostering professional development and a collaborative culture.
What We're Looking For
- 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, including substantial in-house experience at a technology company.
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements.
- Strong legal judgment and ability to advise executives on risk, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and operations.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with privacy laws, SaaS agreements, and technology industry practices.
- Adaptable, proactive, and capable of balancing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems is a plus.
