Senior Counsel to join Bitdeer’s in-house legal team in Norway, reporting to the General Counsel and US Lead Counsel. This role serves as a senior legal advisor for European operations and supports global initiatives, requiring expertise in complex regulatory environments and cross-border legal matters.
What You'll Do
- Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, infrastructure contracts, and cross-border licensing deals
- Ensure robust protection and alignment with Bitdeer’s global strategy
- Conduct high-level legal research and provide actionable analysis on European and international regulations
- Oversee corporate governance for Norwegian and European entities
- Manage board resolutions and statutory filings
- Ensure full compliance with local corporate laws
- Streamline the contract management lifecycle across EMEA and North American regions
- Manage internal approval workflows, complex due diligence, and high-level stakeholder correspondence
- Maintain the highest standards of quality control for all legal outputs
- Ensure all documentation reflects the company’s sophisticated legal positioning and brand voice
- Act as a primary legal partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodies in Norway and beyond
What We're Looking For
- At least 8+ years of experience as an attorney
- Significant portion of experience spent in a reputable law firm or a senior in-house role
- Deep understanding of commercial law, litigation strategy, and the nuances of operating within a global corporate structure
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with a high degree of precision
- Proactive, self-starting leader capable of working autonomously in a remote/distributed environment
- Superior time-management skills to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 global industry
- Elite written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex legal risks into business-friendly advice
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive corporate information and strategic initiatives
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited institution
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with a recognized bar association (US State Bar or European equivalent)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with global legal entity management and CLM systems
- Norwegian and English language skills
