About the Role
This position leads employment-related legal strategy and manages litigation risks, providing counsel on compliance, workforce regulations, and dispute resolution in a rapidly scaling tech environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead employment law compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- Manage end-to-end litigation processes, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Advise HR and leadership teams on employee relations issues and policy development
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements and separation documents
- Respond to administrative charges and agency investigations from labor authorities
- Develop and deliver training programs on workplace law and compliance topics
- Monitor evolving labor regulations and assess impact on company operations
- Support internal investigations into workplace complaints and misconduct allegations
- Collaborate with outside counsel on complex litigation matters
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws and classification standards
- Guide company actions during workforce reductions or organizational changes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law trends and legal precedents
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal strategy with business goals
- Oversee litigation holds and data preservation protocols
- Assist in drafting and updating employee handbooks and workplace policies
