General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a Senior Cost Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Operational Medicine (OPMED). In this role, you will apply your cost estimating skills to ensure medical products meet acquisition timelines, providing financial management expertise throughout the program life cycle.
What You'll Do
- Develop Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs), Government cost estimates, and update them as required.
- Build and analyze Microsoft Excel cost models, including using risk analysis tool add-ins.
- Assist in developing and analyzing cost and schedule risk-adjusted LCCEs, Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), and other cost analyses.
- Create, review, and analyze cost estimates using the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT).
- Pre-validate product manager (PdM) level cost estimates developed in ACEIT.
- Provide portfolio-level cost estimating support, developing models that integrate time-phased cost and schedule risk-adjusted views.
- Develop presentations and brief executive leadership on program cost positions, budget change impacts, and other cost issues.
- Assist in the development of budget submissions.
- Establish a common basis for consolidating and reporting cost estimate information.
- Gather and correlate prior and current year expenditures for trend analysis to establish budgetary baselines.
- Provide financial management expertise and coordinate with program financial analysts to resolve issues.
- Review and assess program risks related to schedule and cost.
- Assist in reviewing, editing, and consolidating annual and out-year budget requirements.
- Assist in producing finance documents and conducting financial analysis to support acquisition documentation.
- Provide input to cost-related taskers, focusing on sustainment costs throughout a program's life cycle.
- Participate in special projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years’ experience developing life-cycle cost estimates (LCCE) for DoW programs.
- Understanding of cost estimating principles and procedures and knowledge of the DoD 5000.
- Experience with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT) suite.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to obtain a NACI (T1) public trust clearance.
- Excellent communications, writing, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at various organizational levels.
- US Citizenship required.

- Understanding of medical acquisition programs and experience related to medical and drug development.
