Brenntag is hiring a Senior Controller Global Technology to play a pivotal role in steering strategic investments within our company-wide Digital Transformation Roadmap. You will focus on cost controlling and business case development, acting as a key business partner for our commercial, supply chain, and data & analytics teams on a global scale.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across teams to ensure optimal outcomes for Brenntag.
- Develop value cases with the Digital, Data & Analytics team alongside Supply Chain and Commercial professionals.
- Translate business problems and requirements into technical specifications for practical digital solutions.
- Lead discussions with PL Owners to build understanding and acceptance of business cases, anchoring them in divisional planning.
- Perform project controlling; monitor project budget, its execution, and track value contribution.
- Conduct monthly reporting on cost development, identifying and following up on budget action items.
- Act as the controlling interface into the delivery organization (PMO Transformation office).
- Manage the invoice process and budget approvals for global projects.
- Ensure capitalization of Digital and Data & Analytics assets aligns with the Brenntag Group Accounting framework.
- Support annual budget planning for Digital, Data, and Technology functions.
- Improve controlling processes and define standards for the DDT organization.
- Ensure compliance in DDT to processes set by Brenntag Global rules of procedure and DDT internal guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Controlling as a Business Controller.
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, IT, or Business Informatics.
- Experience with investment calculation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP and HFM.
- Good knowledge of technology and software tools.
