HSBC Group is seeking a Senior Consultant Specialist within HASE Technology. In this role, you will lead and govern the adoption of engineering standards for mobile apps across multiple engineering centres and territories. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, growing technical expertise, and fostering a strong engineering culture.

What You'll Do

Establish and maintain the community of Android and iOS engineers across the Mobile Foundation, Channel Transformation, and beyond.
Lead and govern the adoption of the ‘HSBC way’ of engineering for mobile apps, setting technical direction and architectural standards.
Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners to define product and project strategy, code standards, and roadmaps.
Advocate and advance modern software development practices within the engineering community.
Participate in broader discussions about mobile software architecture and cross-team initiatives.
Grow the technical expertise of the engineering community through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and active participation in engineering disciplines.
Work closely with teams, product owners, agile coaches, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality tools and capabilities.
Act as an advocate for quality, ensuring robust solutions and acting as a gatekeeper for the definition of done.
Document solutions and foster a strong engineering culture across multiple engineering centres and territories.

What We're Looking For

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience as a Senior Lead in large-scale mobile engineering environments.
Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling engineering communities.
Strong mentoring skills and experience in fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Deep expertise in native iOS and/or Android development, with a passion for modern development practices.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and geographies.
Track record of driving productivity, quality, and innovation in engineering teams.
