About the Role

West Monroe is hiring a Senior Consultant for our Banking practice. We are a global business and technology consulting firm fluent in both disciplines, creating measurable value for our clients. In this role, you will focus on business and technology projects across commercial lending, treasury management, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and regulatory compliance.

  • Assist clients by developing operating models and cost optimization strategies.
  • Implement technology, platforms, data and analytics tools, and support related change management.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to tailor solutions for clients.
  • Help business and technology executives solve key problems within the financial services industry.
  • Begin mentoring junior consultants.
  • Help build the practice and your career.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3-5+ years of combined Financial Services industry and professional services consulting experience.
  • Experience managing or leading the work of others.
  • Strong quantitative analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work with Client representatives at all levels.
  • Experience effectively leading organizations or teams through change.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice to Have

  • Industry experience in Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Risk & Regulatory Compliance.
  • Experience working as a consultant or banker with the top 25 banks and large regional banks.
  • Solutions experience in Commercial Banking / Treasury Management areas: Business Process Optimization, Credit & Portfolio Analytics, Commercial Lending Sales Process, Loan Origination Systems, Loan Servicing, Risk Management, Treasury Management Sales and Service, and Treasury Management Implementation / Operations.
  • Experience with competencies such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Business Architecture, Business Process Mapping, Business Requirements Development / Gap Analysis, Business Strategy Development and Execution, Change Management, Program / Project Management (PMO), Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), System Implementation / Integration, Testing, Training, Use Case Methodology (Waterfall, Agile), Vendor Analysis / Selection.
  • Experience with industry-leading Core Loan Accounting Systems including FIS, Fiserv, and/or Jack Henry.
  • Experience with industry-leading Commercial Loan Origination Systems (LOS') including nCino, Moody’s CreditLens, Baker Hill NextGen, and/or Sageworks.
  • Experience with industry-leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Commercial credit qualification or commercial credit training.
  • Experience supporting a Financial Services Firm through a transformational change initiative, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Core Conversions, and/or Ancillary System Implementations and Integrations.
  • Experience with emerging technologies related to data, AI, and machine learning.
  • Commercial Lending experience within the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience estimating project work effort, cost, identifying and mitigating project risks, and managing project financials.
  • Recent experience or proficiency with financial services industry projects.

This role follows a local-city work mode, with opportunities in Seattle, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, and other locations.
