Zeeco is hiring a Senior Combustion Engineer

About the Role

The position involves leading combustion system development, conducting performance evaluations, supporting field operations, and guiding design improvements using engineering principles and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and validation of combustion equipment for industrial applications
  • Perform thermal and fluid dynamics simulations to assess system performance
  • Evaluate field-installed systems for operational efficiency and safety
  • Develop engineering documentation including calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and troubleshooting
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and safety regulations
  • Support manufacturing teams during prototype and production phases
  • Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams
  • Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Optimize burner configurations for fuel flexibility and emissions reduction
  • Review vendor designs and technical submittals
  • Assist in root cause investigations for field performance issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of combustion technologies and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools
  • Prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support testing and commissioning of new systems
  • Interface with clients during design review and project execution phases
  • Apply heat transfer and combustion principles to real-world applications
  • Use CAD and simulation software for design validation
  • Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with project timelines
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges in existing installations
  • Develop and maintain design standards and best practices
  • Lead technical aspects of proposals and bid responses
  • Mentor team members in combustion system fundamentals
