About the Role
The position involves leading combustion system development, conducting performance evaluations, supporting field operations, and guiding design improvements using engineering principles and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and validation of combustion equipment for industrial applications
- Perform thermal and fluid dynamics simulations to assess system performance
- Evaluate field-installed systems for operational efficiency and safety
- Develop engineering documentation including calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and troubleshooting
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and safety regulations
- Support manufacturing teams during prototype and production phases
- Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams
- Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Optimize burner configurations for fuel flexibility and emissions reduction
- Review vendor designs and technical submittals
- Assist in root cause investigations for field performance issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of combustion technologies and standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools
- Prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support testing and commissioning of new systems
- Interface with clients during design review and project execution phases
- Apply heat transfer and combustion principles to real-world applications
- Use CAD and simulation software for design validation
- Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with project timelines
- Troubleshoot operational challenges in existing installations
- Develop and maintain design standards and best practices
- Lead technical aspects of proposals and bid responses
- Mentor team members in combustion system fundamentals
