Caterdesk is hiring a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to plan and implement a significant enhancement of our AWS platform. This role merges architectural strategy with hands-on execution, focusing on scoping, staging, and delivering major infrastructure changes while ensuring uptime, performance, and cost.
What You'll Do
- Decompose large infrastructure initiatives into phased delivery plans
- Design migration strategies across AWS accounts, environments, and regions
- Manage Infrastructure as Code through Terraform
- Engage with serverless and container-based workloads within AWS
- Collaborate with engineers specializing in NodeJs and TypeScript
- Enhance reliability, observability, and operational standards
- Ensure changes are measurable, reversible, and well-controlled
- Devise and execute significant infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in platform, cloud, or DevOps engineering
- Significant hands-on experience managing AWS across multi-account and multi-region production environments
- Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices
- Proven experience planning and executing large-scale infrastructure migrations or restructuring
- Experience with systems where both high availability and cost efficiency are critical
- A systematic and pragmatic approach to managing complex changes
