Lead the integration of ITAM and SAM practices across newly acquired organizations, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance frameworks. This role is central to M&A transitions, focusing on seamless onboarding of software asset management processes, license compliance, and data consolidation.
Integration & Automation
- Direct the ITAM workstream during mergers and acquisitions, establishing consistent practices for license tracking, entitlement management, and software lifecycle governance
- Design and deploy AI-powered workflows to accelerate data mapping, normalization, and compliance validation across disparate systems
- Evaluate emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to enhance both integration speed and long-term operational efficiency
- Ensure accurate, automated inventory feeds by collaborating with IT operations and discovery teams
Compliance & Operations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of acquired software portfolios, identifying compliance risks, licensing gaps, and remediation strategies
- Maintain precise hardware and software inventories, ensuring data integrity through regular reconciliation and cleansing
- Manage vendor contracts, entitlement records, and compliance documentation within enterprise ITAM systems
- Monitor effective license positions for major publishers and lead periodic true-up exercises
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate licensing data and compliance reports
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Security teams to assess ITAM implications pre- and post-acquisition
- Deliver executive-level insights and integration recommendations based on data-driven analysis
- Train and guide teams from acquired entities on enterprise SAM/ITAM processes and tools
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track compliance, usage trends, cost impact, and inventory accuracy
- Advise business and technology leaders on license optimization, renewal planning, and cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- 10+ years in IT Asset Management, with deep experience in Software Asset Management
- 5+ years leading ITAM integrations in M&A environments
- Proven expertise with ITAM platforms such as Flexera or Snow
- 5+ years applying AI/ML concepts to automate IT operations and data workflows
- Solid understanding of global compliance standards and audit frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
- ITIL certification
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience in fast-paced, evolving technology environments
