Remote is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to transform data into insights that drive strategic decisions. You will design dashboards, build reports, and develop analysis to help teams understand performance and opportunities, serving as a trusted analytics partner to shape how data fuels growth.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Marketing and Customer Care teams to translate goals into metrics, reports, and dashboards.
- Build, maintain, and enhance core business dashboards using Power BI.
- Use SQL and Python to extract, analyze, and transform data for reporting and ad hoc analysis.
- Own the design and documentation of key business metrics for clarity and consistency.
- Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in data and share insights.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering to ensure data models meet reporting needs.
- Contribute to team-wide best practices for visualization, dashboard UX, and storytelling with data.
- Create training, documentation, and data literacy resources to enable others.
- Participate in sprint planning and help shape the BI roadmap by identifying high-value projects.
- Mentor and teach data-savvy stakeholders as a subject matter expert in BI tools and analytics.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Advanced SQL skills and comfort working directly with raw tables to produce clean, performant queries.
- Intermediate Python skills to model and analyze raw tables.
- Hands-on experience with one or more modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Strong data visualization and communication skills.
- Passionate about helping others understand and use data to drive better decisions.
- Experience working in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Can quickly learn new technology systems and communication tools.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with dbt or dimensional modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with healthcare, telehealth, or regulatory data (e.g., HIPAA).
