This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across the eastern United States, with a focus on long-term client partnerships and revenue expansion within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead business growth initiatives across the East Region
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in target markets
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations
- Negotiate contracts and close high-value agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
- Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics
- Present services to prospective clients through formal proposals
- Manage a pipeline of active sales opportunities
- Travel regularly to meet clients and attend industry events
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
- Gather client feedback to inform service improvements
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system
- Represent the company at networking functions and trade shows
- Support the development of go-to-market strategies
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Monitor sales performance and adjust tactics as needed
- Provide input on pricing and service offerings
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting logistics
- Work cross-functionally to resolve client challenges
- Drive adoption of value-added services
- Ensure compliance with company sales policies
- Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports
- Mentor junior team members when required
- Contribute to long-term regional growth planning
