EX Squared is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take on a key role in our engineering efforts. You will be instrumental in architecting and delivering the core services that power our platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define and execute on technical roadmaps
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from system design to deployment and monitoring
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Contribute to technical and architectural decision-making
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language
- Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Deep understanding of database design, both SQL and NoSQL
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on system performance and reliability
Nice to Have
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced product development environment
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers
- Background in building and maintaining microservices
- Understanding of observability tools and best practices
