Jerry.ai is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a critical, stealth project on the DriveShield™ team. You will play a key role in building scalable and high-performance backend systems that power our explosive growth and enhance driver safety, revolutionizing the $2T car ownership industry with AI and ML.
What You'll Do
- Focus on non-functional requirements like service availability, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Oversee system design and architecture to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Develop and optimize real-time data processing applications using Kafka and Flink.
- Profile and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and integrate models in production.
- Handle data processing, sanitization, validation, and data QA.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one core language like Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Expertise in Kafka Streams, Flink, or similar real-time data processing frameworks.
- Experience building real-time data processing applications.
- A track record of shipping products and features lightning-fast.
Nice to Have
- Startup experience at a high-growth company.
- Previous knowledge of working with geospatial data.
