CoinTracker is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for our Integrations Core team. Join our close-knit, early-stage distributed team tackling significant technical challenges to create transformative crypto products. In this role, you will play a key part in scaling our backend systems and take direct ownership of high-impact product and engineering goals.
What You'll Do
- Build new features, products, integrations, and back-end services.
- Design scalable systems to support millions of users.
- Own and deliver top-level product and engineering objectives.
- Collaborate with team members across the company.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional (non-internship) experience as a backend engineer.
- Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of backend technologies: databases, orchestrators, messaging systems, data pipelines.
- Write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.
- Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production systems.
- Strong fundamentals with a cloud platform like GCP or AWS.
- Able to work effectively in a remote setting and overlap with core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the data engineering or crypto/finance domain.
- Experience in crypto is strongly preferred.
- Experience within high-growth or early-stage environments.

- Compensation: $175,000 - $210,000 + equity in CoinTracker.
