Genesis is looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to own the quality automation direction for JustDone. In this role, you will build and scale systematic test automation from the ground up to ensure product quality, predictable releases, and safe development speed. You will be instrumental in establishing the framework, influencing standards, and potentially leading the technical automation strategy.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy covering unit, integration, and e2e testing.
- Build the test automation architecture and select the appropriate technology stack.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and ensure a stable, reliable pipeline.
- Cover critical business flows with robust automated tests.
- Analyze defects and reduce repeatable bugs through systematic test coverage.
- Establish quality standards and best practices for the engineering team.
- Mentor QA engineers and collaborate with developers to foster a shift-left approach.
- Control and report on key quality metrics like coverage, test stability, and production defects.
- Maintain, improve, and scale the test automation framework.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of practical QA experience in automation, including building, developing, and integrating tests into CI/CD.
- Experience launching automation from scratch or systematically scaling an existing automation suite.
- Commercial automation experience with Playwright for e2e web testing.
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining an automated test framework from the ground up.
- Hands-on integration of automated tests into CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of different testing levels: unit, integration, and e2e.
- Experience with API testing, including REST, contract verification, and working with mocks.
- Proficiency with Git and code review processes.
- Understanding of test design principles and techniques for stabilizing flaky tests.
