As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll design and maintain robust automated testing frameworks using TypeScript, Python, Pytest, and Playwright. What You’ll Do
- Develop and refine test automation frameworks that support continuous integration and delivery
- Create and manage API tests using Postman to validate backend functionality
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to define effective testing strategies
- Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI to streamline testing workflows
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid release cycles
- Use AI tools to enhance test creation, optimize execution, and predict potential defects
- Debug test failures and work closely with developers to resolve root causes
- Improve existing QA processes, frameworks, and tooling through continuous feedback
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation or software engineering with a QA focus
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Python for building test solutions
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Pytest, and Postman
- Familiarity with AI concepts and their application in testing scenarios
- Experience using IDEs like Cursor or similar for efficient test development
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and automated test integration
- Ability to design reusable frameworks and identify high-value automation targets
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to work independently in a distributed, remote team
- Clear and effective communication across time zones and disciplines
Preferred Background
- Exposure to additional test automation tools or programming languages
- Experience with AI-powered test generation or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with SaaS, B2B, or enterprise software ecosystems
- Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing practices
