As a Senior Aternity Administrator, you will lead the management and optimization of the Aternity platform within a secure government environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring high performance across end-user devices and critical applications by leveraging advanced monitoring capabilities and deep system insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance and health of Windows and Mac endpoints, shifting from incident-driven responses to proactive issue detection.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Aternity agents and backend infrastructure to ensure reliable data collection.
- Use Aternity dashboards to assess user experience metrics, detect performance bottlenecks, and produce actionable reports on key performance indicators.
- Lead investigations into system slowdowns and application issues, identifying root causes and coordinating resolutions with technical teams.
- Design and implement custom business process monitoring to track real-user interactions and response times for essential applications.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent and bring at least 10 years of IT experience, including five or more years focused on Aternity or comparable end-user experience monitoring platforms. Deep familiarity with configuring and maintaining the Aternity environment is required, including building custom dashboards and managing agent deployments.
Knowledge of system upgrades and patching procedures is essential. Applicants must be able to work from a dedicated home office with stable internet access and participate regularly in virtual collaboration sessions. Eligibility to obtain DHS Suitability clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating Aternity with APIs and third-party tools.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy for device management.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages to automate tasks.
- Understanding of ServiceNow and its integration with monitoring platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data visualization with Tableau.
