WTW is hiring a Senior Associate

This role leads complex initiatives in Absence, Disability Management, and Life Insurance for major clients, focusing on benefit strategy, vendor oversight, and leave program design. The individual will engage directly with clients, manage projects, and collaborate with specialists to deliver tailored solutions, supporting a path toward advanced client or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-value consulting on large-scale ADML initiatives, including short- and long-term disability, leave policies, paid time off, sick leave, life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
  • Analyze existing ADML benefit plans and develop innovative designs and cost-effective strategies.
  • Lead end-to-end vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct financial and operational audits of vendor services to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement paid family leave and company-specific leave programs.
  • Act as the primary project lead and daily point of contact for client engagements.
  • Play a key role in developing project plans and lead execution of deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress against defined goals, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Foster internal relationships and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Perform and master detailed analytical tasks to support project outcomes.
  • Support the creation and refinement of new thought leadership and intellectual assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in designing or managing large group disability plans, preferably in a consulting or brokerage setting, or equivalent experience in a consultative role at an insurance carrier or vendor.
  • Strong financial acumen and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Proven track record in developing project plans and leading teams to successful project execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and resolve issues effectively.
  • Motivation and capability to grow existing client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Adaptability and a demonstrated ability to identify and resolve challenges.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and integrative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%, primarily for day trips.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for programs emphasizing quantitative subjects.
  • Must obtain a State Life and Health insurance license within 90 days of hire.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $135,000 USD per year. The role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive.
