Toast is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Retail POS team. You will be responsible for identifying solutions, scoping initiatives, and delivering novel features while maintaining core ordering, inventory, and payment workflows. This role involves shaping the vision for new customer experiences and working on a cross-functional team to build technology solutions for retail customers.

What You'll Do

Work collaboratively with UX, PM, QA and other engineers building the POS for Retail.
Ensure quality by building automated testing for changes.
Be a driving force in the full software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
Ensure robustness, performance, and reliability of the POS.
Provide technical guidance and support through code reviews and design discussions.
Work closely with the leads to identify high-impact opportunities.
Plan, scope and rapidly prototype solutions using a combination of web technologies.
Make technical decisions and recommendations that will lay the foundation for the future of our strategy.
Stay in tune with customer needs by participating in user interviews and research.
Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building.
