Responsibilities
- Your work will be the foundation of our internal data-driven culture. You will empower teams across our company to make better, faster decisions.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data models in our Google BigQuery data warehouse using dbt, ensuring data is accurate, well-documented, and easy to understand.
- Own the semantic layer of our analytics platform, exposing curated data models as intuitive Topics in Omni Analytics for self-service use by business stakeholders.
- Collaborate directly with internal teams (Product, Marketing, and Sales) to understand their challenges, gather requirements, and deliver data solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end analytics engineering workflow, from requirement gathering and data modeling to validation and final delivery in our BI tool.
- Contribute to our team's best practices in data modeling, testing, and documentation, helping to build a world-class analytics function from the ground up.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and building production-grade data models
- Hands-on experience with modern data transformation tools (like dbt) and cloud data warehouses (like Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift)
- Familiarity with modern BI tools (like Omni, Looker, ThoughtSpot, etc.) and an understanding of how to build an effective semantic layer for business users
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role
- A product-minded and proactive problem-solver
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work autonomously in a small team environment
- You document your work and think about long-term maintainability
- An enthusiasm for building things from the ground up and making a significant impact in a growing startup

Additional Information
- You'll have a minimum of 25 days of paid holiday per year (pro rata), in addition to public holidays and an extra three days during our annual company-wide winter shutdown in December.
