SRG Global Mining Services is hiring a Senior Analyst for the External Audit team, focusing on Global and Private Market clients. Based in Parramatta, Western Sydney, you will contribute to audit engagements from planning to completion, analyzing financial data and ensuring compliance with standards.
What You'll Do
- Engage directly with clients and team members on audit or assurance engagements.
- Analyze financial data, review supporting documentation, and discuss findings.
- Participate in meetings to clarify client requirements and share progress updates.
- Perform substantive testing, evaluate controls, and draft clear, actionable reports.
- Work with global teams on controls, SOX-related activities, and overseeing group audits.
- Work with Technical Accounting, Audit Quality teams, and specialists in Technology, Internal Controls, Tax & Legal, Risk Advisory, and Consulting.
- Receive guidance from senior team members to develop technical skills and professional judgement.
- Contribute ideas and support others in a collaborative environment focused on growth and high-quality outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- CA qualifications (or equivalent) with professional services experience.
- Over 3 years of experience in external audit, preferably from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
- Proficient in identifying business and financial risks, planning audits, and managing engagements as the lead auditor or senior-in-charge.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete audit findings.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle multiple audits and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain and develop client relationships.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards in managing sensitive financial information.
Nice to Have
- Sufficient experience as the senior-in-charge on engagements.
