Shape the future of retail property development in a key role driving strategic growth across South London. You will lead the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of land and sites for new store developments, ensuring each opportunity aligns with long-term business goals. Your responsibilities span the full asset lifecycle—from initial concept and due diligence through to planning approval and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing and negotiation of freehold and leasehold properties, identifying viable locations for new retail spaces
- Conduct site inspections and development appraisals, assessing feasibility, risks, and compliance
- Manage end-to-end planning applications, including submissions, consultations, and condition resolution
- Oversee expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement initiatives across the property portfolio
- Build and maintain productive relationships with local councils, developers, landlords, and legal advisors
- Ensure all real estate transactions meet legal, commercial, and strategic standards
- Coordinate with internal teams to drive development timelines and support business growth objectives
What You Bring
- Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant field such as real estate, planning, or property development
- Proven experience in retail acquisitions, land acquisition, or commercial property
- Solid understanding of property law, planning regulations, and development processes
- Strong negotiation skills and an established network within the UK property sector
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting, analysis, and documentation
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regularly across the region
- MRICS accreditation is highly desirable

This role operates from a modern property office in Battersea Power Station, with a hybrid model requiring 3–4 days per week on-site or at project locations. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £77,000 – £103,400 per annum (includes non-contractual London Weighting)
