LIDL is hiring a Senior Acquisitions Consultant to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in South London. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from site identification and acquisition through planning and construction. This role is based at the London Property office in Battersea Power Station, where you will lead a professional team and develop relationships with key third parties.
What You'll Do
- Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores
- Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, and manage site, legal and planning due diligence
- Manage planning application life cycles from original submission through to consent and discharge of conditions
- Own and lead all expansion, relocation, and improvement projects for our current infrastructure
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
- Drive the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion
- Manage real estate for our freehold and leasehold assets
What We're Looking For
- A self-starting drive to succeed with a proactive attitude
- Degree-level education with a 2:2 minimum
- Exposure to retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
- Refined negotiating skills and a well-established network
- Sound commercial property and legal acumen
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A highly analytical mind
- The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- A full driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the UK
Nice to Have
- Degree ideally in a relevant discipline
- Ideally MRICS qualified

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: £77,000 - £103,400 per annum (includes 10% non-contractual London Weighting allowance)
