Western Digital is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Global Finance Operations team. In this role, you will manage the daily financial activities for our global business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounts payable processes. This position requires fluency in Mandarin to effectively support our operations and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including the timely and accurate processing and validation of invoices.
- Ensure Purchase Orders (PO) and Goods Receipts (GR) are properly matched and processed (3-way/2-way match).
- Verify, investigate, and handle invoice discrepancies and invoices on hold for assigned entities and suppliers.
- Complete problem resolution, analyze aging reporting, and open GR reports to solve pending issues.
- Handle and resolve inquiries from complex suppliers and stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve any invoice or payment issues.
- Review and reconcile complex and critical supplier statements of accounts against company records.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation at month end for assigned accounts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standard procedures, and audit or SOX requirements.
- Perform ad hoc activities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- Fluency in Mandarin with accounting experience in an Accounts Payable function.
- Strong understanding of financial software and ERP systems, particularly Oracle Cloud or SAP.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of the Source to Pay business process.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliation and reporting.
- Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, considering the big picture and exercising sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive issues.
- Ability to deliver consistent positive results through influencing, coordinating, and managing the efforts of others.
- Ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people and personalities at all levels.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment, including in a work-from-home setup.
