About the Role
The Senior Accountant will oversee key aspects of financial operations, including reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting functions while supporting organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local regulations
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit procedures
- Maintain and improve general ledger structure and chart of accounts
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities with financial insights
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators
- Coordinate with finance teams across regions for consistency
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Handle revenue recognition in line with contractual terms
- Support system upgrades and integrations involving financial data
- Provide guidance on complex accounting treatments and technical issues
- Assist in the evaluation of new accounting standards and their impact
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
- Work closely with operations teams to resolve financial discrepancies
- Ensure proper documentation and retention of financial records
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests
- Drive accuracy and timeliness in all financial deliverables
- Participate in cross-functional projects affecting financial systems
- Contribute to the training and development of junior accounting staff
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and practices
