Clarivate is looking for a Senior Account Manager, Academia (West Coast) to lead sales activity and account relationships within higher education and government institutions across the West Coast territory.
What You'll Do
- Own the assigned territory and coordinate individual account plans, working with specialists and renewal teams to grow long-term revenue.
- Influence and motivate others in a matrixed sales organization to support shared goals.
- Focus on new and renewal business to expand Clarivate's footprint; serve as the primary point of client engagement.
- Lead RFP coordination and development, seeking opportunities to unite multiple RFPs or investments.
- Manage a full portfolio forecast for renewals and new business, including specialty products, ensuring forecast accuracy.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of products, especially core content.
- Lead content demonstrations, engaging product specialists as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of all proposals and lead client discussions as warranted.
- Ensure the account plan is making progress and aligns with other account objectives.
- Manage overall account health, coordinate routine checkpoints, handle business reviews, and participate in client meetings.
- Ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues by working with customer service and technical support.
- Enter leads and new activity into Salesforce.com to ensure collaboration and communication.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a direct field sales professional.
- Experience selling into ed tech or academia accounts.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling directly to libraries is highly preferred.
- An advanced degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and technical troubleshooting tools.
- Certifications pertinent to the sales profession.
- Previous experience with Salesforce or similar tools.

Team & Environment
You will be part of the Academia and Government sales team, working with Product Sales, Customer Success, Customer Education, and Professional Services. The role involves collaboration within a wider network of global sales and account-focused team members and reports to the Director, Segment Sales.
Work Mode
This is a remote position. Candidates are ideally based in NV, OR, AZ, or ID.
