Workana is looking for a Semi Senior Python Backend Engineer to join a dynamic, remote team. You will focus on developing scalable and robust backend solutions that power innovative applications, using modern technologies and practices.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.
- Collaborate with the frontend team to create seamless RESTful APIs.
- Optimize existing code and databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain high code quality.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and integration processes.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage data storage solutions effectively.
- Engage in agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development using Python, with a strong preference for Django or Flask frameworks.
- Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a solid understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience implementing CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a remote team.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with FastAPI for building high-performance APIs.
- Previous involvement in international projects or teams.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular) to facilitate better collaboration.
