Experian is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to play a key role in safeguarding our global infrastructure. You will join the Endpoint Security Operations team to drive the innovation, development, and overall maintenance of our critical security platforms.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and address endpoint vulnerabilities using enterprise security software.
- Troubleshoot issues caused by security tools on servers and workstations.
- Review and validate security alerts to identify false positives.
- Manage platforms for EDR, AV, DLP, and Cloud Proxy (Microsoft, Trellix).
- Coordinate with vendors, regional teams, and subject matter experts to resolve complex problems.
- Document processes, automation steps, and operational workflows.
- Participate in audits as a subject matter expert and provide required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with other teams in the global security organization, business units, and external vendors.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in information security roles, managing endpoint security and secure system configurations.
- 4+ years managing security products like AV and DLP.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with EDR platforms.
- 3+ years managing both Windows and Linux systems.
- 2+ years of scripting experience with PowerShell or Python.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in incident handling and response for infrastructure and endpoints.
- A basic understanding of networking concepts such as VLANs, subnets, common protocols, and routing.
- Solid comprehension of different security controls, capabilities, and their use in a corporate environment.
- A demonstrated history of innovation, creativity, and driving process improvements.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloud Proxy solutions.
- Exposure to Mac system management.
- Related certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, MCSE, or RHCSA.
- Advanced use of PowerShell or Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience operating Tanium for endpoint management.
