Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Security Manager to join our remote-first, fast-growing team. You will lead the development and maintenance of robust security practices across our global IT systems. This hands-on leadership role gives you the chance to shape security strategies and IT operations for an innovative Web3 infrastructure provider.
What You'll Do
- Define, implement, and monitor IT security strategies to protect infrastructure, operations, and sensitive data.
- Design and maintain cybersecurity architecture, tools, and configurations.
- Identify system vulnerabilities and apply effective risk mitigation and remediation tactics.
- Oversee IT operations, including network infrastructure, system updates, and service management.
- Ensure continuous compliance with security standards like SOC2 and ISO through regular audits and risk assessments.
- Detect anomalies in systems, apply preventive controls, and manage incidents with swift response plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to embed security into all processes.
- Educate staff on emerging threats and internal security protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in both IT management and IT security roles.
- Strong grasp of core security concepts: authentication, access control, Linux security, cloud security, threat prevention, etc.
- Practical knowledge of testing tools (SAST, DAST, IAST), firewalls, and posture management.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing IT systems, updates, and infrastructure.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, remote-first workplace.
Nice to Have
- Coding skills in Python or Go.
- Prior SOC2/ISO certification experience.
- Credentials such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CISM.
