ECS Federal is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Architect

This position involves designing and assessing cybersecurity frameworks throughout the system development life cycle for a long-term government contract. The work supports mission and business process security, adhering to agency policies and standards. The role is immediately available and can be performed remotely or on-site in Suitland, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze security for reference models, segment architectures, and solution designs that support organizational missions and operations.
  • Deliver expert guidance for Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to shape the agency’s technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Design comprehensive security solutions across enterprise and system levels throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Translate regulatory requirements, legal mandates, and technology capabilities into actionable security designs and processes.
  • Define and refine security requirements based on system architecture, operational context, and technology type.
  • Maintain and update enterprise secure configuration benchmarks and baselines to align with current industry standards.
  • Advise on the development and implementation of cybersecurity architecture for systems and platforms.
  • Monitor and stay informed on the agency’s enterprise IT cybersecurity architecture.
  • Identify ways to apply cybersecurity standards and architecture to strengthen enterprise IT design.
  • Recommend integration strategies and requirements for enterprise technologies within the agency’s environment.
  • Produce detailed documentation including standard operating procedures, trend analyses, status reports, metrics, concepts of operations, and charters.
  • Ensure all developed or acquired systems comply with organizational cybersecurity architecture policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize essential business functions for security planning.
  • Provide input on project costs, design approaches, and proposed design modifications.

Requirements

  • Possession of an appropriate background clearance for government work.
  • Eligibility to support a US Government civilian agency.
  • Availability for full-time, permanent employment.

Compensation

Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000
