Porch Group is hiring a Security Analyst to safeguard our digital assets and reputation against security breaches and cyber-attacks. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of Porch Group Information Systems.
What You'll Do
- Manage the Information Security Ticket Queue, investigate security alerts, and ensure resolution or escalation.
- Complete Customer Cyber Security Questionnaires.
- Conduct third party risk management assessments.
- Maintain, update, and execute procedures such as Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Assist with annual compliance initiatives like the annual risk assessment.
- Help maintain and advance our general security programs and initiatives such as Cyber Security Training and awareness.
- Leverage security tooling such as EDR, email security, SIEM, and other tools.
- Work with Business Unit security contacts to communicate, track, and remediate identified security findings.
- Develop and communicate security reports to key stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or four years of equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of prior experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or related cyber security functions.
- Ability to connect and build positive relationships across diverse teams and business units.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in cybersecurity.
- Strong technical aptitude to learn new technologies and platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work within core US business hours / Eastern Standard Time overlap.
- A quiet workspace and an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications (Security+, CEH, CySA+).
- Technical cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in analyzing findings from security tools (EDR, SIEM, cloud security, email security, IDP), along with the ability to deliver technical solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Understanding of cyber security frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
- Experience with cloud security principles and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
