EX Squared is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote - US)

Jobgether is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced security measures for our healthcare technology platform. You will secure hybrid infrastructures, safeguard sensitive data, and ensure compliance with key industry frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement layered security architectures across cloud (Azure), on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Manage and optimize tools including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra (Azure AD), Zscaler, Proofpoint, Rapid7, and BeyondTrust.
• Oversee incident detection, triage, and response using SIEM and threat intelligence platforms.
• Lead vulnerability management efforts, maintaining risk registers and coordinating remediation with internal teams and MSSPs.
• Administer identity and access management solutions (PIM, BeyondTrust), enforcing least privilege and zero-trust principles.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and NIST CSF standards through audits and continuous improvement.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline monitoring, reporting, and SOAR workflows.
• Participate in governance activities, including architecture reviews and change advisory boards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, preferably within healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks) and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud security, SIEM, DLP, IAM, endpoint protection, and network/email security tools.
• Skilled in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or related credentials are preferred.
