Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats across networks and systems
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
- Respond to security incidents using established protocols and documentation
- Analyze logs and data to detect suspicious activity and patterns
- Support compliance initiatives including audits and control assessments
- Assist in maintaining security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Evaluate risks associated with new technologies and business initiatives
- Develop and update security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into projects
- Perform threat modeling for applications and infrastructure
- Manage access controls and identity security practices
- Track and report on security metrics and key performance indicators
- Support phishing awareness and employee training programs
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends
- Assist in cloud security configuration and monitoring
- Document security findings and communicate them to stakeholders
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident response
- Evaluate third-party security posture during vendor assessments
- Implement and maintain data protection controls
- Support digital forensics and breach investigations when needed
