J.R. Simplot Company is hiring a Seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse Support for our Simplot Grower Solutions retail location in Quincy. This is a full-time, temporary role that offers benefits and includes substantial overtime to meet seasonal demands. Your primary focus will be operating trucks, delivering fertilizer and chemicals, and supporting plant operations.
What You'll Do
- Operate a fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed.
- Load and deliver fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
- Assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse and inventory responsibilities.
- Maintain and keep trucks clean.
- Perform varied responsibilities such as equipment and plant maintenance, including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping.
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, and providing back-up when needed.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must hold and maintain a Class A CDL and an appropriate driving record.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform all essential functions of the job.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands (Ag-Industry Hours).
- Ability to accurately count materials, reconcile quantities, and complete basic math calculations as part of routine workflow.
Nice to Have
- Truck driving experience.
- Knowledge of local rural geography.
- Knowledge of farm operations.
- Preferred CDL Endorsements: HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples.
