The Indiana Department of Correction / Madison State Hospital is hiring Seasonal Aquatics Workers to provide excellent customer service and ensure the safety of all visitors at Raccoon State Recreation Area. You will be part of a team dedicated to facilitating enjoyable and safe water activities.
What You'll Do
- Monitor visitor activities at pools and beaches.
- Administer first aid, CPR, and AED care when necessary.
- Report accidents and issues to property management promptly.
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of pools, beach equipment, and watercraft.
- Operate and fuel watercraft for marina use.
- Sell gasoline, oil, passes, and permits to marina visitors.
- Safely and efficiently ferry passengers to and from personal boats.
- Supervise lifeguarding staff through scheduling, training, and correction for designated supervisory roles.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and certifications for Community CPR, First Aid, and AED.
- Ability to complete required physical training, including swimming and running.
- Willingness to wear a DNR-provided uniform.
- Capability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
