Milliman is looking for a Scrum Master to lead cross-functional Information Technology teams through the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will champion agile principles and best practices, remove impediments, and help teams stay focused to meet deadlines and continuously improve.
What You'll Do
- Guide teams on Agile practices and facilitate continuous improvement to ensure successful project delivery aligned with organizational goals.
- Track team capacity and velocity, and collaborate through ART syncs, backlog refinement, PI planning, and team stand ups within the Scaled Agile Framework.
- Ensure team members understand project objectives, focusing on cross-functional accountability, teamwork, and iterative progress.
- Provide coaching and thought leadership on Agile principles for development teams and product owners.
- Share knowledge on best practices and ways to improve product delivery across teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and activities for multiple teams supporting organizational delivery.
- Identify and mitigate external dependencies, risks, and impediments.
What We're Looking For
- 2-5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Scrum Master role.
- Firm understanding of the software development lifecycle and scrum principles.
- Experience with sprint planning, facilitating daily standups, leading scrum ceremonies, and backlog grooming.
- Prior experience with Agile technologies, tools, and working on an Agile team.
- Proven experience ensuring successful delivery of projects aligned with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for problem solving, removing roadblocks, and managing issues.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and ability to influence leaders through effective communication and conflict management.
- Ability to actively listen, facilitate discussions to resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Nice to Have
- Certified Scrum Master.
- Experience as a Scrum Master within the Scaled Agile Framework.
- Experience as a Scrum Master in a SaaS environment.
- Experience in environments subject to HIPAA and/or PCI regulations.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Technology delivery experience.
- Continued education and/or advanced degree(s).

- Compensation Range: $93,700 - $177,675. For Alaska, CA, CT, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NYC, PA, VA, WA, DC: $107,755 - $177,675. All other locations: $93,700 - $154,500.
