Barclays is hiring a Scrum Master to act as a servant leader for Agile squads, ensuring effective adoption of Scrum and Agile principles. You will support teams in delivering complex technical initiatives, working closely with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones.
What You'll Do
- Manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Collaborate with customers and business teams to manage customer trials, supporting the proposal of feasible solutions and setting effort and timeline expectations.
- Collaborate with software engineers, quality teams, and product managers to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects.
- Manage change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure delivery according to agreed terms.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving delivery outcomes.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Evidenced experience in a Scrum Master role delivering in a complex technical environment with multi-location and multi-time zone teams.
- Evidenced experience working within the Financial Services industry.
- Demonstrated experience driving progressive performance improvement of Agile squads.
Nice to Have
- At least one relevant Agile certification (a SAFe certification is highly desirable).
- A strong technical background, ideally within Data Engineering environments.
- Experience supporting AI enablement within the Agile delivery lifecycle.

This role is based locally in Glasgow.
