Joint Academy is seeking a part-time, flexible Science Project Manager & Grant Writer to bridge science, healthcare innovation, and funding strategy. You will play a key role in advancing our mission through grant acquisition and research coordination.
What You'll Do
- Identify national, EU, and global research grants and funding opportunities.
- Write and submit competitive grant applications in collaboration with scientific and clinical teams.
- Manage reporting requirements and compliance post-award.
- Support setup, documentation, and coordination of clinical trials and research collaborations.
- Act as the liaison between internal teams, academic partners, and corporate collaborators.
- Track milestones, deliverables, and timelines across multiple projects.
- Coordinate joint projects with universities and life science companies.
- Oversee research-related documentation, IRB/ethics submissions, and data collection workflows.
- Ensure efficiency and compliance while enabling scientific excellence.
- Use modern AI tools for literature review, drafting, project management, and grant monitoring to maximize productivity.
- Continuously improve internal processes around research and funding.
What We're Looking For
- A PhD (or equivalent research background) in health sciences, life sciences, biomedical engineering, digital health, or a related field.
- Proven experience in grant writing with a track record of successful applications (e.g., EU Horizon, NIH, national agencies, foundations).
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills in English.
- Experience with clinical research administration, including protocols, ethics submissions, and reporting.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with academics, clinicians, and corporate partners.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first, international environment.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with digital therapeutics, musculoskeletal (MSK) research, or health economics.
Technical Stack
