Requirements
- The Scheduling Manager is responsible for the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable schedule information across all capital programmes managed by the Infrastructure function.
- The role ensures that high-quality scheduling data supports effective planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
- The Scheduling Manager will lead, direct, and manage embedded scheduling resources to ensure the consistent and competent application of standard processes, systems, and tools.
- The role is accountable for maintaining the quality and integrity of all schedule outputs, including associated performance analysis and reporting.
- A strong emphasis will be placed on driving continuous improvement across all scheduling practices and capabilities.
- In addition, the Scheduling Manager will support the Programme Controls Manager in the strategic planning of scheduling resources, including recruitment, deployment, and capability development.
- The role will also coordinate and communicate scheduling information effectively across the wider Programme Controls function and other organisational stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Develop and manage complex, multi-project programme schedules to support timely programme delivery.
- Lead the coordination and preparation of summary progress reports, highlighting critical issues, impacts, and mitigation measures.
- Provide oversight, assurance, and governance of schedule tracking and performance reporting.
- Review and enhance scheduling processes, driving continuous improvement in tools, methods, and performance standards.
- Analyse programme data to identify critical path risks, delays, and bottlenecks, ensuring corrective actions are defined and implemented.
- Produce high-level reports and ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
- Lead the development and maintenance of an integrated, cross-functional master schedule incorporating third-party and interface inputs.
- Monitor deviations from baseline schedules and report on impacts and recovery plans.
- Coordinate the preparation of master schedules, including resource and cost loading where applicable.
- Support the development and alignment of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) in collaboration with programme controls, cost consultants, and contractors.
- Foster a positive and performance-driven culture within the scheduling team.
- Build and maintain strong, proactive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to scheduling queries and information requests.
