About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is hiring a Sales Manager Diagnostics North Germany (m/f/d) to lead our ARDx ID Sales Team in the Germany North Region. In this role within our Infectious Market Business Unit, you will establish Abbott RDx as a leader in point-of-care diagnostics across public and private healthcare sectors through strategic sales leadership and team management.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver short- & long-term volume, sales, profit & market share goals.
  • Manage portfolio, sell and train products across diverse market segments and customer types including public, private, emergency services, laboratories, and economic departments.
  • Develop a high-performance team and ensure succession planning.
  • Define sales strategy in collaboration with the General Manager Region West.
  • Build relationships and access C-level of hospitals to present value proposition.
  • Identify potential targets for strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Respond to customer needs and problems effectively.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Develop trusted relationships with public and commercial payer stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Understand, prioritize and liaise with market access stakeholders including payers, governmental bodies, and industry associations.
  • Collaborate with other functions including Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Market Access, Finance, and Customer Service.
  • Ensure Commercial operation is compliant with all relevant legal, regulatory, tax & ethical boundaries.
  • Participate in employee recruiting and job interviews.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of sales management experience in the in-vitro diagnostics market.
  • High level of initiative, success driven, responsibility, accountability and agility.
  • Consistent track record of achieving profitable growth.
  • Demonstrable track record in negotiation success and securing contracts.
  • Practical experience with CRM systems.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive people relationships and build strong links in a company matrix structure.
  • Possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations.
  • Fluent in German and highly proficient in English.

Nice to Have

  • Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organisation.
  • Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices.
