The University of British Columbia (UBC) is hiring an Associate Director, Alumni Engagement for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. You will develop, coordinate, execute, and lead the Faculty's alumni relations program and strategies. Your work will build lifelong relationships with alumni locally, nationally, and internationally to advance the Faculty's strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and execution of the Faculty’s monthly alumni newsletter, providing strategic direction and coordinating content.
- Design and execute a holistic strategy to identify, cultivate, engage and steward student, alumni and industry leaders.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify alumni needs and connect them with opportunities and partnerships.
- Manage and maintain an up-to-date and reliable alumni database.
- Design and develop short & long-term strategic alumni engagement plans to leverage alumni & community engagement.
- Identify and build connections with individual alumni and community connectors to develop a comprehensive strategy to mobilize alumni as ambassadors and advisors.
- Lead efforts to recruit alumni volunteers and support their work to build a dynamic Pharmaceutical Sciences community.
- Connect students with alumni, celebrate student success, and leverage existing student affinity and leadership groups.
- Lead the Faculty’s convocation and graduation receptions in spring and fall.
- Develop, recommend, and execute data-driven marketing and communication strategies to promote alumni activities.
- Plan and execute a series of high impact alumni events, both in-person, virtual and hybrid.
What We're Looking For
- Thorough knowledge of the activities undertaken by Alumni Relations, alumni UBC, DAE.
- Knowledge of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and University policies and procedures.
Team & Environment
You will report to the Senior Director, Development and Alumni Relations, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Senior Director, Alumni Engagement, alumni UBC. This role is part of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Development and Alumni Relations team.
Work Mode
This role operates onsite.
