WEKA is hiring a Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will support the East regional sales team by providing technical expertise during customer interactions. This includes educating customers on the technology, supporting evaluation processes, and serving as a technical advisor while representing customer feedback to internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and partners to explain the technical details of the platform
  • Support product evaluations and assist with system setup and configuration
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and architecture overviews
  • Act as a customer advocate by gathering feedback and communicating it to R&D and product management teams
  • Serve as a technical advisor to customers, regularly reviewing their environment and suggesting optimizations
  • Develop deep expertise in the product and its surrounding ecosystem
  • Lead or contribute to responses for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical resources such as Q&As, best practices, and documentation
  • Perform hands-on technical work as part of customer engagements

Requirements

  • Knowledge of high-performance I/O workloads
  • Extensive experience with filesystems, including NFS, SMB, and distributed parallel file systems
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with data center networking
  • Experience conducting performance benchmarks and analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience working in a startup environment is beneficial
  • Experience running workloads on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP
  • Scripting skills are a plus

Compensation

OTE hiring wage range $250,000-280,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience, education, skillset, and other business considerations, in compliance with applicable law
