About the Role

Apply is seeking a Sales Engineer - Automation & Weld to design bespoke automation and robotic welding solutions for a family-owned system integrator. In this role, you'll partner with customers and internal teams to design, propose, and support custom industrial automation projects.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with customers and internal engineering teams to design bespoke automation and robotic welding solutions.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings and lead design-review sessions.
  • Source vendor components, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery timelines.
  • Craft competitive, profitable sales proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support customer installations and project kick-offs.

What We're Looking For

  • A 2-year engineering degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of sales application engineering experience in factory automation.
  • 1+ year hands-on experience with industrial robots, robotic welding, electric motors/servos, and PLCs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-focused solutions.
  • Proven track record of building profitable proposals and closing complex projects.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
